1. Introduction
Megron LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Megron app and respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Megron mobile app and services.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account: email address and password
- Profile: name, age, sex, height, weight, fitness goals, activity level, training preferences, dietary preferences or restrictions you choose to save, and target settings
- User content: manually logged workouts, exercises, sets, notes, meals, food names, serving information, nutrition entries, and progress photos or food photos you choose to provide
Information collected from Apple Health or Health Connect with your permission:
- Activity and fitness data such as workouts, steps, active energy, exercise minutes, cardio fitness, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and heart-rate zones when available
- Nutrition and body data such as dietary energy, macronutrients, weight, and sleep data when available and authorized by you
Automatically collected:
- Usage data: features used, time spent
- Device info: device type, OS, app version
- Crash reports and technical diagnostics via Sentry (we disable screenshot capture)
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide fitness tracking, BMR/TDEE calculations, and calorie goals
- Generate personalized coaching, summaries, recommendations, recovery insights, nutrition guidance, food parsing, and photo meal estimates
- Sync data with Apple Health or Health Connect (if authorized)
- Improve the app and develop new features
- Detect and prevent technical issues and abuse
- Provide customer support, account management, and security
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers provided by Vercel using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We perform regular security updates and automated backups.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Vercel – cloud hosting, serverless application hosting, and secure storage/processing needed to operate the app
- Sentry – crash reporting, performance monitoring, and technical diagnostics. We disable screenshot capture.
- OpenAI – third-party AI service used to generate coaching narration, weekly summaries, food parsing, photo meal estimates, workout recommendation wording, and plain-language explanations. Data sent to OpenAI may include selected Apple Health-derived summaries, manually logged workouts and meals, goals, profile details, training and dietary preferences, food descriptions, and food photos you choose to analyze. We use OpenAI only to provide requested app functionality and personalization.
We require service providers to protect personal data using confidentiality, security, and data-processing obligations appropriate to the information they process. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default; see OpenAI's API data controls. We may disclose data if required by law or court order.
6. Health Platform Integration
We only access Apple Health or Health Connect data you explicitly authorize. You can revoke access anytime in iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices or in Health Connect settings on Android.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at: privacy@megronfitness.com
EU users have additional rights under GDPR. California residents have rights under CCPA (we do not sell data).
8. Data Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
9. Children's Privacy
Megron is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
